Happy 6 months Madelyn Jo!

Maddie turned 6 months on Sunday! She shared her birthday party with her uncle Bubba who also had a birthday on the 21st. Mommy made their cake and it was half pink for Maddie and half blue for Matt! We even let her eat some! It was really cute, she kept trying to get the cake, reaching for it and getting her fingers in it!

With her six month birthday also came her six month shots. She did really well considering she got 4 shots at once! Dr. Ripley was really excited to hear that she can crawl and that she is moving lots! She said she is a healthy little girl and growing too. She now weighs 13 pounds 6 ounces and is 25 inches long. A little peanut she may be, but we definitely love her!!

Miss Maddie has decided that it is time for her to start to crawl!! For a few weeks now she has been rolling over from place to place, and scooting backward. But now she has gotten up on all fours and is starting to sway back and forth trying to figure out how to go backward! It is super cute and she is so close, wont be too long and she will be moving! We laugh because most people ask if she is sitting up by herself, but she could careless about sitting and would rather be moving! We are excited for her to move around!

We had a GrEaT DJJD weekend! Maddie had so much fun hanging out behind the fire hall, going downtown, seeing all of our friends and family, eating ice cream (shhh don't tell!!), going to the craft fair, playing bingo, and riding in the parade on Sunday!! We cannot believe how fast the weekend went! Next year will be a whole different experience with rides and food for our little girl that will be walking!!

Maddie's auntie went to college this weekend. We dropped her off at school and helped her get her room all ready. MJ was a super good girl...and perhaps the youngest on campus! Below is what she thinks of her auntie going to college! ( :0) ) We love you auntie Nenna!!!
